Chocolate Chip Muffins! …and other things that make me happy
October 12, 2009
I really love homemade chocolate chip muffins. I just made a batch, Mmm.
Over the weekend I found a really cute red linen pencil skirt at a cute little consignment shop in Memphis… (and asked myself why I didn’t shop at consignment stores more often?) I’m a huge sucker for linen skirts and almost any kind of embroidery… even though it’s been “cold” (I’m from southern Louisiana, anything below 60 is considered cold to me) lately, I have a feeling it’ll warm back up enough for me to wear this before the winter:

Speaking of stuff I bought, for some reason finding an old used copy of Pearl Jam’s YIELD made me very happy…

I also spent some time this weekend trying to get my craft on for the open house next month. Some things I made this weekend that I’ll probably sell:

Button-flower cross stitch samplers!
and…

Grandma-chic crocheted rosebud brooches, perfect for a big winter coat!
Also started a new gallery on kandicook.com for autumn photography… I’m a bit on a nature kick right now. This time of year there is something in the air that makes everything look so sad and beautiful.
