New Photo Series: Magic Kids perform at the Levitt Shell (Memphis, TN) August 24, 2010 (plus set list)

New photo series of the Magic Kids performing at the Levitt Shell in Memphis, Tennessee on August 24, 2010.  This was the first time I have ever photographed a show at the Levitt Shell, a new venue for me is always exciting and something I consider as a new challenge.  Shooting here was pretty great- super bright lights, lots of color, lots of energy.

I’ve been a fan of the Magic Kids for a long time now and have seen them perform more than any other band.  This was the first time I had ever seen them use a set list.  It was written on the back of Alice’s old sheet music (it just doesn’t get any cuter than that).  I was SO happy to add this gem to my set list collection (Thanks, Will!)

  1. Okay, so I just looked at the rest of the photos and WOW. Seriously, the Magic Kids REALLY NEED to use these! Some of your BEST WORK if you ask me! You are destined for great things! (Corny or not, it’s true!)

  2. Oooh! look at that color! I’m used to seeing the Magic Kids in all black and white, so it was quite a shock to see all those colors! They’re so awesome. You’re so awesome! I love how saturated these are. And the shot of the girl with her tongue out is adorable. great job as always, kan!

  3. Kandi! These are indeed some of your best! Get these to the band! Fantastic color! Great captures! And the shot with the kids in the foreground is perfect. That venue really worked for them. FANTASTIC JOB!!!

  4. WHOA!!! Thanks y’all!!! I don’t even know what to say. : ) Y’all are too too too kind.

Taking pictures already fills my heart with so much joy, and getting to share them and have people really like them and appreciate them– well, to me, it doesn’t get any better than that.
